An Advent Devotional, and Brief Updates
Thanks for reading this brief update. I just returned from the Monastery of Christ in the Desert. I go there every year on retreat. I had a good and difficult time, as always.
As you probably know, Advent begins at the end of this month. There are many ways to walk through Advent--as an individual, with your family and friends, and with your church. I have often used an Advent devotional to guide my thoughts and prayers during this holy season. There are many available from which to choose.
Last year, I published an Advent devotional entitled The Harpooner. I hope you'll consider using The Harpooner as your guide through this coming Advent season. If you don't already have one, you can get a copy on this site. Just go the the store. .
Thank you for supporting The Anglican Way. It has been well received. The initial print run of 2000 copies is almost entirely sold out! I'm in the process of preparing the next printing, which will include a few corrections to the text. If you have any suggested corrections, I'd appreciate hearing from you soon. That would be very helpful. Also, if you have read the book and would care to leave a review, please do so on Amazon.
The Lord is gracious. My wife has a great new job, and our daughters are doing well in school and life. Our church planted a new congregation just a couple of months ago. We are blessed to be part of such a wonderful parish.
Please pray for us, as I continue to pray for those who receive these infrequent updates. Many blessings to you in the coming Advent season.
