Tonight at midnight is the beginning, the Mother of all Battles. Actually, that was Desert Storm. So, its not really the Mother of all Battles. However, it is the first moment of Script Frenzy.
Script Frenzy is a "community" of folks who have answered the challenge to write a complete script (for stage or screen) in one month. I have been planning, thinking, and agonizing. And now the official writing time will begin.
I am working on a top-secret script. However, I will tell you the working title: "Schism." Pretty cool, huh? And something I know a thing or two about.
When asked to describe it, I say its something like The Book of Daniel (a TV show I never actually watched) meets GoodFellas. But that's all I'm given ya.
The long and short of this is that I'm guessing my blog is going to be a little quiet in June. But, then again, who knows? Perhaps I'll keep a running word count up here. I'm supposed to hit 20,000 words by the end of June. Let's see if I can do it.
The nice people at Script Frenzy lent me a machine to help me out. They let me borrow an AlphaSmart Neo. Its basically a word processor that I can take anywhere, like on retreat to a monastery with no electricity. Its just for writing, that's it. Its super portable and easy to use, and you can easily transfer what you write to a real computer. Its pretty cool, and I'm thinking of buying one once this is all over.
OK, that's it. Got to get ready to write!
